Ships Major Upgrade on New Year’s Eve
Toronto, Ontario
-- Wednesday, January 15, 2002
3DNA is pleased
to announce highlights from the New Year’s Eve release of
the full 1.0 version. This latest release includes several highly-requested
new features for 3DNA users, three updated Worlds, new registered-only
features, new methods for customizing 3DNA, and overall performance
improvements.
In addition
to the above, this new version incorporates a fully integrated e-commerce
system that enables users to unlock additional features by purchasing
the product (USD $29.99) from within the application. Custom versions
can also be easily created for affiliate partners for revenue sharing
purposes. 3DNA is in the process of signing several strategic affiliate
partners to be announced soon.
One of the most
significant enhancements to 3DNA is the ability for users to drag
& drop items (shortcuts, files, folders, URLs, images) from
Windows and the Web directly into 3DNA. This method enables users
to easily decorate, populate, and customize 3DNA. The new version
also introduced a Tutorial World that teaches new users the basics
such as how to move within 3DNA, as well as more advanced capabilities
such as how to add shortcuts, and fine tune their graphic settings
using the new graphics control options.
Pre-population
of shortcuts was also implemented so users would immediately have
shortcuts to their Microsoft Office applications, media players,
default email clients, and shortcuts to other common applications
detected on their system during installation.
Several new
visual enhancements were also introduced in this release such as
animated skies that dynamically change in real-time (a registered-only
feature), and movable furniture. A revamped Media bay replaced the
current one to allow users to control their default media player
in-scene. The new Media bay features advertisements for new PC and
Console game demos, and also has areas for users to organize shortcuts
to their games, music, and digital photos.
3DNA continues
to gain excellent momentum and we are pleased to announce several
distribution and media coverage highlights that occurred over the
past few weeks.
