3DNA Announces Public "Sneak Preview" and Media Coverage

Toronto, Ontario -- Wednesday, July 31, 2002

3DNA has publicly unveiled its first 3D Desktop product along with trade show appearances and media coverage.

3DNA released the first public beta of its 3DNA Desktop in collaboration with Shacknews.com and Speakeasy.net on July 22, 2002. The public beta was hosted by Speakeasy.net and was featured on Shacknews.com by Shacknews Editor-in-Chief Steve Gibson. "Shackers" were asked to download the beta, test it, and report their feedback to 3DNA. Shacknews.com is a hardcore gaming site, and has a community following of over 1 million monthly visitors. Over 1000 Shackers downloaded the product over the one day release.

In addition to the previous successful third party testing, in-house testing, and QA testing by OEM partners, releasing a public beta enabled 3DNA to have the product tested on an even wider array of systems using various graphic cards and processors.

No major bugs or incompatibilities were reported by any of the testers, and Shackers expressed very favorable comments on the 3DNA.net community forums.

3DNA also successfully tested its integrated user registration system and backend data server, which automatically feeds content into the 3DNA Desktop including ad posters, partner content, website thumbnails, and other forms of live web data, such as news headlines and stock quotes. Ad posters from several of the leading video game publishers were fed into the 3DNA Desktop promoting their upcoming video game releases. Clicking on the posters allowed beta testers to download game demos and video game trailers directly from partner websites.

Additional media events that week included showcasing the 3DNA Desktop at the Siggraph trade show in San Antonio July 23-25. 3DNA was featured at the AMD booth, conducted several stage presentations in the AMD theatre, and met with various media companies regarding upcoming press coverage. At the show, 3DNA received a special invitation to give a live presentation at the Web3D Showcase to over 200 leading computer graphics professionals. 3DNA was widely hailed as one of the most innovative new applications of 3D at the show.

3DNA also recently launched its new public website (www.3DNA.net) which includes complete company and product information, a gallery of screenshots, interactive user forums, and an updated listing of 3DNA's strategic partners. The secure beta site, partner, and investor areas have also been updated to include the latest product demos, and a new downloadable promotional video, which aired on ROB TV - a Canadian TV show that features hot new companies.
